Civil Engineer

SOL Engineering Services, LLC is searching for a Civil Engineer to be involved with the design, development and construction of a vast range of projects. The central role will be to ensure the safe, timely and well-resourced completion of projects such as public works infrastructure projects to include streets, roadways, wastewater distribution, storm drainage and site design. Various tasks may include to plan, manage, and design civil improvements, supervise the construction of projects, and to monitor the quality of work and site safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience; must have a P.E. license
  • Ability to use a range of design computer software to develop detailed designs and undertake complex and repetitive calculations to include fluency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Must be results and goal oriented
  • Supervise tendering procedures and putting together proposals
  • Assess potential risks and think critically to resolve design and development problems and correct any project deficiencies that affect production, quality, and safety requirements prior to final evaluation and project reviews
  • Manage budgets and project resources and schedule material and equipment purchases and delivery, as well as managing changes and notifying all parties
  • Adopt all requirements such as building permits, environmental regulations, sanitary design, good manufacturing practices and safety of all work assignments
  • Ensure that a project runs smoothly and is completed on time and within budget
  • Liaison effectively with architects, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers, consultants, co-workers and clients
  • Attend and participate office and public meetings as company representative
  • Will work inside and outside and will require some overnight stays when involved with offsite projects and locations

Engineer Manager

SOL Engineering Services, LLC is searching for a Engineer Manager to direct and manage multiple concurrent engineering projects while ensuring success in meeting their respective objectives. The central role will be to ensure the safe, timely and well-resourced completion of projects such as public works infrastructure projects to include streets, roadways, wastewater distribution, storm drainage and site design. Various tasks may include to plan, manage, and design civil improvements, supervise the construction of projects, and to monitor the quality of work and site safety. Will manage the Civil Engineering team.

  Requirements  

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; additional degree in management is a plus; with 7 plus years of experience or a combination of and must have a P.E. license   
  • Ability to use a range of design computer software to develop detailed designs and undertake complex and repetitive calculations to include fluency in AutoCAD Civil 3D  
  • Experience or knowledge of infrastructure systems improvement including wastewater treatment, water resources, storm water and site development   
  • Consult or negotiate with clients to finalize engineering project specifications   
  • Perform administrative and oversight functions in approving proposals and expenditures as well as enforcing policies and presenting plans and status updates   
  • Assess potential risks and think critically to resolve design and development problems and correct any project deficiencies that affect production, quality, and safety requirements prior to final evaluation and project reviews   
  • Manage budgets and project resources and schedule material and equipment purchases and delivery, as well as managing changes and notifying all parties
